The PALS Instructor Course is designed to prepare you, the instructor candidate, to teach AHA Instructor-led and blended learning courses. The course educates the instructor candidate on how to adequately use AHA Instructor teaching materials, ensure that students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and follow AHA Instructor and course policies. The course covers core content and discipline-specific content required to teach AHA courses.
Course Pre-Requisites:
- A Current PALS Provider with one (1) year of experience
- Complete the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment
- Provide a copy of your current PALS Provider Card
- Complete an "Instructor Candidate Application"
- Obtain a "Letter of Recommendation" from an AHA Training Center Faculty Member or any PALS Instructor that would recommend you to become an instructor.
For all students taking Initial courses, we provide you with the current guidelines instructor manual. There will be additional items you will need to start teaching the course. Those items are listed below, and may be purchased also at this time.
